Overview

Sedulous is being built by Niarel to support planning, tasks, time tracking, and optional social focus features. This notice applies to the named private-alpha testers using the web, iPhone, and Android staging service. The alpha is not open to the public.

Information used by the alpha

• Your account email, Profile name, handle, avatar, and access-grant status.
• Your synced Areas, Projects, Tasks, Session records, settings, and related app data.
• Club membership and invitations, Cafe privacy choices, and temporary live presence.
• Security and reliability events with private work content, tokens, secrets, and full email addresses excluded from logs.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to provide Sedulous, sync the same account-backed staging data across your approved devices, authorise Club and public Cafe presence and overlay features, secure the alpha, and diagnose failures.

Cafe presence and overlays

People in the same authorised Cafe presence may see your avatar and the generic activity or timer state you choose to share. A Club Cafe inherits Club access; a standalone public Cafe creates no durable membership. An external OBS overlay shows a participant only after that participant explicitly consents for that overlay. It does not show private Task, Project, Area, Note, Goal, history, or statistics content.

Storage, retention, and access

The web alpha is online-first and does not create an offline database of your private work. A browser tab may keep an unsaved form draft for the life of that tab. Revoking alpha access blocks future use without deleting your account data. Staging data remains until it is deleted through an available account action or a verified deletion request, subject to security, legal, and backup-retention needs.

Your choices

You can leave live Cafe presence, leave a Club through its separate settings flow, revoke an overlay, withdraw overlay consent, sign out, or ask for alpha access to be revoked. Contact us to ask about your data or request account deletion.
